What makes Portuguese challenging: and how Maia helps
Nasal vowels
Portuguese nasal vowels (ão, ãe, õe) are where English speakers usually give themselves away. Maia drills them in real words — pão, mãe, então — not as a phonetics lecture.
Brazilian vs European
Pronunciation, gerund vs infinitive, and everyday vocabulary diverge. Maia uses Brazilian Portuguese as the spoken default and flags European forms when they would actually matter.
Clitics and personal infinitive
Object pronouns attach in ways Spanish does not, and Portuguese has a personal infinitive English lacks. Maia introduces these in conversation, then tightens them when you are ready.
